Positive Plaza Alternatives
It's been an uphill battle for the past year, trying to be a voice of reason regarding the Plaza Project. Attempting to combat the shrill negativism of the local media with reason and hope is difficult, but then I guess negativism sells more papers and air time.

Fortunatly, not all area residents succumb to the dark drumbeat of gloom and dread. I've received much support for my efforts on this site, and more alternative voices are being emboldened to speak words of hope and encouragement. I've gotten permission to publish some of them here - such as Paul Steinborn's excellent editorial - and hope to have more soon. I've also got a few more articles to challenge the conventional wisdom, and hopefully spark some thought and discussion.

We invite you to take the Positive Plaza Alternatives Challenge and take a virtual or actual look around the Plaza site. Odds are good that your only exposure to it has been through descriptions in the media or numbers quoted by public officials. Don't you think you should take a look for yourself, to see what all the fuss is about?
